Terms of Service

Caldmere is a player-driven fantasy MMO in early access, provided by the Caldmere team (“Caldmere”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or playing the game you agree to these terms. Caldmere is under active development: features, balance, and the world itself will change, and progress may occasionally be reset during early access.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secret. Give accurate information when you sign up, and do not share, sell, or transfer your account. One person may not operate accounts on behalf of another person. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

When you play, you agree not to:

— Cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or automation, or modify the client to gain an advantage.
— Harass, threaten, or abuse other players, in chat or anywhere in the game.
— Impersonate another player or a member of the Caldmere team.
— Disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or attempt to reach another player’s account or data.
— Use the game for anything unlawful.

Report bugs and exploits to [email protected] instead of using them.

Items, currency, characters, and other in-game content are virtual, are licensed to you for use inside Caldmere only, and have no real-world monetary value. They are not your property, cannot be sold or traded outside the game’s own systems, and may be changed or removed as the game develops.

You are responsible for what you say and do in the game, including in chat. We may remove content, mute, suspend, or close accounts that break these terms or harm the community. If you believe a moderation action was a mistake, contact support.

The game, website, world, lore, artwork, and code that make up Caldmere belong to Caldmere and its creators. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable licence to play the game; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

You may stop playing and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Caldmere is provided “as is” during early access. We do not promise that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that characters and progress will never be reset. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the game.

We may update these terms as the game grows. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
